Hamilton full focus to the five races remaining

Lewis Hamilton will not be complacent after now leads the world championship competition in 2014, WAG Mercedes F1 driver knew anything could still happen in the last five series.

Two consecutive wins in Italy and Singapore make Hamilton had to change up 29 points from team-mate, Nico Rosberg, becoming three-point lead with five races remaining.

Momentum appears it is now in the grip of Hamilton. But he is aware that momentum can disappear instantly as experienced when Rosberg failed to finish in Singapore so can not figure.

"Maybe this is the beginning., But momentum is generally not something I think about because it could have been taken away," he said at Planet F1. "See Nico, he is getting good results and momentum from it, but one DNF change everything. You do not know what will happen."

"I'm happy to go back to the best performance, reaching the pole-pole, maximizing races. I want to make in the next five races, if I am no longer able to perform that well in the upcoming races, the next five races should be good," he said.

Since last May, only this time Hamilton could again tops the standings, although he would not relax. In the rest of the series of five Hamilton will continue to target the top podium in order to maintain the difference in numbers of its rivals, in particular Rosberg.

"You would think so, but right now I do not sit here and think it's calm. Throughout the year there is a difference and I've been chasing all year. I came here and thought I would get the seven points (the difference between finishing first and second ), Nico will quickly and consistently, but at least if I could reach seven points and continue to add to it little by little, that's my intention to come here.

"Of course I may be 25 points and was slightly changed circumstances, but in my mind right from the moment I still just want the seven points. That's the mindset that I will continue to use," said Hamilton.
